This policy explains how Mernc ("Mernc", "we") handles personal information on mernc.com. Our products, such as Aurnis, have their own privacy policies on their own websites.

mernc.com is run by Mernc. Questions about this policy: privacy@mernc.com.
What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message, through the contact form or by email. If you ask about consulting, also the optional project details you give us.
- When you visit: our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- We don’t use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and, if you ask, to discuss working together.
- To keep the site working and secure.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful (only when visit statistics are on).
Legal bases
- Legitimate interests: replying to messages and keeping the site secure.
- Steps before a contract: when you ask us about consulting work.
Who we share it with
We use service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare: hosting, security and spam checks on the contact form (Turnstile).
- Resend: delivering contact-form messages to our inbox.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Contact messages and email threads: 24 months after our last exchange, unless the law requires longer or you become a client.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your information, or object to how we use it. Email privacy@mernc.com and we'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site isn't aimed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and only the people who need messages can read them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted on this page.
